Self-Worth

Finding your own value
Self-worth is about believing that who you are now already has worth.
Not a future version of you. Not a more confident version. Not a version with fewer mistakes, fewer fears or fewer regrets.
The person you are today.
From that belief, something begins to change. We still grow. We still learn. We still adapt to the people and situations around us. But those changes no longer have to come from trying to become someone who deserves to have worth. They can simply come from living in a way that feels true to who we are.
Counselling can provide the space to explore how your view of yourself has been shaped over the years. As that understanding deepens, many people notice they spend less energy trying to become the person they think they ought to be and more energy living as the person they already are.
There isn't one way this looks. Some people become clearer about their boundaries. Some rediscover interests they had quietly put aside. Others find themselves speaking more honestly, dressing in ways that feel more like them or comparing themselves less with other people. Healthy self-worth doesn't create a particular personality. It simply allows each of us to live in a way that feels more true to who we are.
If this resonates with you, we'd be pleased to walk alongside you.
Some people also explore Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and post-traumatic stress, Abuse and Relationships and couples.
Hazelwood Counselling helped me find clarity during a difficult time. The support I received was compassionate and practical, making a real difference in my daily life.
